The relationship enables the integration of Xtera's 7200 OADX with Micromuse's Netcool/OMNIbus™ application, allowing network operators to centrally monitor events from Xtera's optical devices via the Netcool suite. The integration permits Xtera to offer comprehensive service assurance capabilities for multiple layer 1 signals over transparent wavelengths, making it easier for service providers to efficiently manage the availability of optical-based services.
